Should You Wait on Opening Vaults?

No, It Can Be Replayed

Use Encore Machine to Replay Vault

You should complete a vault whenever you are ready (refer to the Recommended Levels below). After you complete it, there will be a Moxxi Encore Machine near the entrance. You can use it to spend cash to replay and farm the boss in the Primordial Vault.

They are a great source of loot and experience. It will also upgrade your Glider Pack when you complete one for the first time.

Prepare for a Long and Difficult Fight

Vault of Inceptus
The Fadefields		 Level 15 - 20
Vault of Origo
Terminus Range		 Level 20-30
Vault of Radix
Carcadia Burn		 Level 20-30

Vaults are essentially dungeons with a difficult boss at the end. Before heading to one, make sure to get stronger weapons that are around your current level. You should also check your build if there are useful skills you can get or if you need to respec your skill tree.
