This is a walkthrough for the Tandem Access Memory side mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to find out if you should place the bolt or destroy the Mind Swirl machine at the end of the mission.

To start Tandem Access Memory, you must have completed the previous side mission Mob Justice. This mission belongs to a questline starting with Mob Mentality.
Talk to Pickett Fenster at The Thirst Scrap in the Terminus Range region.

| 1 | Talk to Pickett Fenster at The Thirst Scrap. He will task you with killing three bolt donors and getting their bolts. |
| 2 | ![]() Go to the marked location on the map. You may fast travel there via The Nightcap Safehouse if it has been captured. |
| 3 | ![]() Arrive at Checkpoint Taupe and kill three Watchmen enemies to obtain their bolts. |
| 4 | ![]() Run to one side of Checkpoint Taupe to face more Order forces. Kill three more Watchmen to get their bolts again. |
| 5 | Return to The Thirst Scrap and talk to Pickett. Give the bolts to him. |
| 6 | ![]() After taking the bolts to his workbench, Pickett will give you a bolt for you to take. |
| 7 | ![]() Go to Pickett's editor in the back room. Here, you will be faced with two choices: place the bolt on the desk or destroy the Mind Swirl machine. |
There are no consequences to placing the bolt on the desk or destroying the Mind Swirl machine. Either choice depends on moral preference, and both options complete the mission with the same rewards.
