How to Unlock Price of Freedom

Complete The Falling Wall

Borderlands 4 Release Joe

You need to complete The Falling Wall main mission first before unlocking Price of Freedom.

Once unlocked, you can start the side mission by heading to the prison in the center of the Carcadia District in Dominion. Press the button next to the cell to free Joe, then talk to him to accept the mission.

Rescue Sue

# Walkthrough

Borderlands 4 Rescue Sue
Help rescue Joe's wife, Sue. Head to the ship just south of the prison and near Witness Construction Program.
2 Defeat Order forces in the area!

Borderlands 4 Large Gate Sue
Once the enemies are dealt with, interact with the large gate at the end of the area to find Sue. Wait for Joe to arrive, then talk to him after to proceed.

Retrieve Packages

# Walkthrough
1 Retrieve three packages for Joe and Sue.

Borderlands 4 Package 1
The first package is through a vent down the stairs. Use your grappling hook to remove the grille and enter the vent. The package is next to a corpse.

Borderlands 4 Package 2
For the second package, follow the marked objective to a red tunnel. The package is tucked in a corner east of the search area.

Borderlands 4 Package 3
For the third package, follow the marked objective to an alley. Head up the stairs and jump to the ledge with yellow paint. Jump to the other side, climb the ladder, then jump across again to find the package.
5 Regroup with Joe and Sue, then give the packages to Joe.

Follow Joe and Sue to reach Double Tap. Defeat Commander Rufford’s forces along the way!

Borderlands 4 Commander Rufford
Continue to Double Tap. Once you're at the entrance, defeat Commander Rufford and his troops.

Borderlands 4 Wait for Joe and Sue
After defeating the enemies, enter Double Tap. Wait for Joe and Sue and the mission will be complete!
