How to Unlock Imminent Jest

Complete Main Mission A Lot to Process

Borderlands 4 - Imminent Jest Locations

To start Imminent Jest, you must have completed the main mission A Lot to Process.

Once done, follow the path from The Fadefields leading to Carcadia Burn. In the Lopside area, you will see a run-down shack with a non-hostile psycho there. Talk to the psycho Jankus to trigger the mission.

Alternatively, you may trigger the mission elsewhere by interacting with Jankus' brother Crankus instead. You can do this by reaching Crankus' shack first and then executing Jankus' prank with the pipe.

Prank Crankus and Jankus

# Walkthrough
1 Talk to Jankus at his shack. He will task you with pranking his brother Crankus, whose shack is further down Lopside.

Borderlands 4 - Prank Crankus
There, approach the non-hostile psycho at the shack. Look up and shoot the pipe to douse him in liquid.

Borderlands 4 - Go to Jankus
After pranking Crankus, he will tell you to prank Jankus back in retaliation. Go to the marked location to go to a shack where Jankus supposedly is.

Borderlands 4 - Sabotage Air Conditioner.png
At the shack, sabotage Jankus' airconditioning with your grappling hook.
5 Go back to Crankus to relay to him the details of the prank.
6 Crankus will reveal that he and Jankus instead tricked you with their own prank. Jankus will suddenly appear.

Borderlands 4 - Kill Crankus and Jankus
Crankus and Jankus will then turn on you. Kill them both to finish the quest.
