This is a walkthrough for the Father of the Glide side mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission.

How to Unlock Father of the Glide

Complete A Lot to Process

Borderlands 4 Father of the Glide Claptrap Location

You need to complete the A Lot to Process main mission first before unlocking Father of the Glide.

Once unlocked, you can start the side mission by talking to Claptrap at the Claptrap Aeoronautics Academy, located west of Stoneblood Forest.

Challenge 1

# Walkthrough

Borderlands 4 Challenge 1-1
Most of this mission involves going through Claptrap's obstacle course. To start, jump and climb to the left, then interact with the red platform to turn the green light red. Jump to the climbable wall and reach the top of the rock.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 1-2
Jump and glide to the marked green floating platform, then make your way to the yellow platform to begin Challenge 1.

Note that falling at any point will teleport you back to the very beginning of the course, so be careful when traversing.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 1-3
Glide to the marked floating platform, then jump to the cliff on your right and climb the wall to the marked platform.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 1-4
Climb the wall going higher to the marked platform, then jump and glide to the marked floating platform.

Challenge 2

# Walkthrough

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-1
Jump down to the marked platform, then hop onto the nearby yellow platform to start Challenge 2.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-2
Reach the marked platform above by using the air gusts from the vents to updraft yourself higher.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-3
Head down the chute to fall onto a slide. Jump at the end of the slide, glide towards the wall, and climb up to the marked platform.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-4
Use the slide again, jump to the other side, and slide down. Use the vent’s air gust to reach the marked platform above.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-5
Jump down the chute again and slide to the bottom. Use the air gust to reach the climbable wall and reach the marked platform on top.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 2-6
Glide toward the marked floating platform and use your grappling hook as soon as possible to reach it, completing Challenge 2.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 3-1
Hop on Claptrap's thruster, and he will take you to the final challenge. Reach the yellow platform to start Challenge 3.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 3-2
Glide to the air gust to reach the marked platform, then glide again to jump over the obstacle to the next marked platform.

Climb the rocks to your right, then jump to the red container.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 3-4
Jump down below the obstacle cover and use the air gust to reach the marked platform above.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 3-5
Glide over the three air gusts to reach the marked platform on the right.

Borderlands 4 Challenge 3-6
Race Claptrap to the final marked platform on the ground. Glide and use the grappling hook on the platform to get there faster. Regardless of who arrives first, the mission will be complete.
