How to Farm Throwing Knife
Use Encore Machines to Farm Bosses
The most efficient way to get a Throwing Knife with a Penetrator augment is to repeatedly farm bosses with an Encore Machine. The price of activating one will scale with your level
Since it is a purple rarity, it can be dropped from anywhere, including weak bosses. You can farm Splashzone, your first in-game boss after the prologue, to easilly defeat him for loot.
Weekly Big Encore Boss Has More Loot
If you have Eridium, you can spend 100 of it on this week's Big Encore Boss. It is a harder version of the boss, but it will drop more loot.
To unlock this, you must finish all the main missions and enable Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode.
Found as Random Loot
There is always a very small chance it will appear when you open a chest, defeat a boss, kill a badass, and complete activities that drop loot.
So, you can do other farming methods like Ripper Drill Sites, Primordial Vaults, or stronger Bosses if you need other loot, EXP, and cash.
Best to Farm Throwing Knife With Penetrator Augment
When an enemy gets hit with a Throwing Knife with a Penetrator augment, all damage they will receive will be guaranteed critical hits for 5 seconds.
If you use your Action Skill and activate other buffs while this debuff is active, you can deal a tremendous amount of damage.
Melt Bosses With Vex Bleed
One build you can use for this Ordnance is a Bleed Vex Build that can melt a boss in seconds. Her Bleed will deal critical damage that rapidly deals Kinetic damage against the boss' health bar, easily wiping out its health.

Throwing Knives take the Ordnance slot in your Inventory. They use the same controls as a grenade. However, it must hit an enemy directly for it to deal damage and activate any relevant effects.
