Rift Incompatible

To get the Rift Incompatible achievement in Borderlands 4, you have to punch Francis Oddman at the end of Exit Through the Rift Shop, then find his body in Windspear. Learn how to unlock this achievement by reading below!

Punch Francis Oddman

The last objective in the Exit Through the Rift Shop side mission is you can either shoot or punch Francis Oddman. To get the Rift Incompatible achievement, you have to punch or melee Francis Oddman.

To melee attack, press the right analog stick on your PlayStation or Xbox controller. On keyboard, press V.

Shooting Will Lock Achievement

If you choose to shoot Francis Oddman, you will be locked out of the achievement. Punch him instead to earn it or else you have to re-do the side mission with another character. Replaying the mission with the same character does not work.

You can re-do this easily if you unlocked Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. You can create a Level 30 character, then re-do the quest so you can earn the achievement.

After punching him, head to Windspear to find his frozen body. Go near the body to get the achievement. It is northwest from The Nightcap Safehouse nearby a Dead Bolt.
