The Prospects Drill Site, found in Hungering Plain is one of the best Drill Sites to farm early game for EXP.
Fighting the Rippers and Sidney Pointylegs awards lots of EXP, and defeating Sidney Pointylegs even gives you a chance to obtain Legendary Weapons such as the Noisy Cricket.
All Ripper Drill Site Locations
The Pitted Stain, found south of Idolator's Noose rewards even more EXP, due to its nature of fighting three bosses at the same time.
This Drill Site is best challenged once you have better skills and gear, with better chances of succeeding by attempting it in co-op
Drill Sites have a unique mechanic where mobs spawn endlessly until the Boss or Bosses are killed.
Regardless of where you are in Kairos, Drill Sites can be found, so it can be challenged at any point in the game for EXP, and chance to obtain Legendary Weapons.

Contracts are side missions that give great XP for a short amount of time. Each safehouse gives a different set of contracts, so try and claim safehouses as you discover them on the map!
Upon unlocking a Safehouse, we recommend accepting Patrol Contracts immediately before heading out to resume Main Missions, Side Missions, or general activity.
Patrol Contracts only require you to kill certain enemy types within the region. Patrol Contracts are also automatically turned in upon completion, which means you do not need to return to the safe house to collect your rewards, unlike Collect contracts.

Bounty and Patrol contracts are kill missions that give blue rarity XP. Due to this, we recommend prioritizing kill contracts as they give greater XP when compared to "Acquire" contracts that give green rarity XP.

After beating the game and unlocking Ultimate Vault Hunter mode, Vile Bounties (which are purple in color) will start appearing. These contracts reward more XP than usual, making them a good choice for endgame leveling.
Primordial Vault Missions, which are side quests given upon entering Vault Doors can be replayed, and is a good way to farm lots of EXP if you have the time and gear for it.
Vault Missions task you to go through the entire Vault, fighting and defeating lots of strong enemies, which in itself awards tons of EXP, but also award you with a large amount of EXP, Cash, and Eridium after you defeat the Vault Boss.

Open the ECHO menu by pressing the touchpad for PlayStation, the options for Xbox, or Tab for PC.

When only doing purely main missions, you may end up hitting a wall in terms of levels and stopping power, so we encourage you take a detour and participate in side quests that can give great XP and loot.

While this method is not the biggest XP catcher, farming bosses will still net you decent amounts of XP while having a chance to obtain legendary weapons or gear. Make sure that the boss you plan to farm is easy so that your clear times are fast!

Moxxi's Encore can be found right before entering a boss area. This machine is usually placed next to vending machines and will require in game cash for you to respawn a boss.

Splashzone is relatively easy boss to farm for early EXP and loot compared to other bosses. Splashzone’s arena can be found at bottom right corner of the map, within the Coastal Bonescape.
