Horrors of Kairos Seasonal Mini-Event
A seasonal mini-event called Horrors of Kairos ran in the game from October 23 until November 6! This seasonal mini-event featured new gameplay tweaks, cosmetic items, a weather variant during world boss fights, and legendary gear to match the theme of the seasonal event.

| Skully Legendary Order Grenade | This death-dealing grenade fires out projectiles as it seeks out the nearest target |
The Mumur and Skully legendary gear were both be added in the Horrors of Kairos event! Both legendary gear will be obtainable by defeating world bosses during the event.
New Cosmetic Items Redeemable via SHiFT Codes
During the event, 2 new cosmetic items were added: Gourd Your Loins, a pumpkin head cosmetic, and Hex Appeal, a universal weapon skin. Both cosmetic items can be claimed with a SHiFT code!

The first bounty pack included the following items above along with a new side mission! This bounty pack was made available for free to all players on November 20, 2025.
How Rush Saved Mercenary Day Guide
Vault Card Mechanics
While the Vault Card is included in the first bounty pack, you'll only be able to earn its contents by playing the game.
The Vault Card system works like leveling up where you'll earn more rewards depending on the XP that you gain by exploring, killing enemies, and completing quests! You can also gain more Vault Card tickets by completing daily and weekly challenges.
Invincible Boss 1: Bloomreaper
Bloomreaper is announced to be the first Invincible boss in the game! Invincible bosses will feature a new arena, new modifiers, new legendary loot, an extremely large health pool, and lethal attacks.
Bloomreaper the Invincible is expected to release on December 2025 as part of a free update.
New UVHM Level
The expected update on December 2025 will also add in a new UVHM level. This will further increase the difficulty in the game to challenge players and their builds!

Mad Ellie Story Pack
Coming in quarter 1 of 2026 is the Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned Story Pack. This story pack will have the theme of "cosmic horror" and will give players more content that includes:
- New Vault Hunter, C4SH
- New Main Story Missions
- New Side Missions
- New Legendary Gear
- New Cosmetics
The Mad Ellie Story Pack and the unnamed Story Pack 2 are both included in the game's Super Deluxe Edition.

Pearlescent Rarity
Pearlescent rarity, a tier above Legendary, is returning in Borderlands 4 and will be included as a free update alongside Bounty Pack 2. These will be harder to find but will be stronger in return.

Story Pack 2
An unnamed story pack is slated to release beyond quarter 1 of 2026. While very little is known about this story pack, this content is already included in the game's Super Deluxe Edition.

More bounty packs will be coming to the game in the following year. With its existing pattern, it seems that a new Bounty Pack will be available every few months.
More Invincible Bosses
As players continuously progress their builds and equipment, additional Invincible Bosses will be added to test out your character's limit!
