This is a walkthrough for the Means of Ascent mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission.

Means of Ascent Walkthrough
Go to Ascension Tower
| # | Walkthrough |

| 1 |  Head to the Ascension Tower located towards the central east side of the city walls. |
| 2 |  As you approach the tower, its defense system activates, triggering a Return to Bounds warning. Quickly turn back and leave the zone to avoid death. |
| 3 | After escaping the defense system (or dying then respawning), Zarya will tell you to go to the Rail Depot to grab an Ordonite Capacitor to get past the tower's defenses. |
Get to the Rail Depot

| 1 |  Slightly southeast of the Ascension Tower is the Rail Depot. Head towards the locked door past a couple of enemies. |
| 2 |  At the door, look to the left to find a triangular Pylon you can grab with your Grappling Hook. Throw it into the slot above to open the door, then head inside the depot.” |
| 3 |  Clear the enemies inside the Rail Depot. They consist of the usual ORDER grunts and robots. |
| 4 |  When clear, you will be prompted to place more Pylons around slots in the room. The Pylon station can be found inside the open storage container in the middle of the room. Note: ORDER enemies will respawn 20 seconds after initially clearing them. |
| 5 |  Like the Rail Depot entrance, throw a Pylon at each of the four slots in the corners of the area. |
| 6 |  Once all four Pylons are placed, head to the end of the room and press the button to open the door to the Ordonite Capacitor. |
| 7 |  Grab the Ordonite Capacitor inside an open box in the center of the storage area. |
Return to Ascension Tower

| 1 |  Head back to the Ascension Tower and clear out the enemies sent to stop you. |
| 2 |  After clearing the area, place the Ordonite Capacitor on the marked spot on the ground. |
| 3 |  Once the capacitor successfully activates, a cutscene plays that leads to the next main mission. |
