This is a walkthrough for the Crack This Guy’s Back side mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission.
List of Contents

You need to complete the A Lot to Process main mission first before unlocking Crack This Guy’s Back.
Once unlocked, you can start the side mission by talking to Crack MaBacky in Sainted Cup, located south of Stoneblood Forest.

| 1 | ![]() Perform a melee attack on Crack MaBacky’s back. Once done, leave his house, but he will ask you to return and break his back again. |
| 2 | ![]() Set the mood by meleeing the four candles inside his house to light them. |
| 3 | ![]() Drop down under Crack MaBacky’s house and take the battery in the northwest corner in the trash. Head back to the house and deposit the battery in the marked spot next to the console. |
| 4 | Press the button on the console to lotion Crack MaBacky. |
| 5 | Now, melee Crack MaBacky’s back again. Leave the house, only for him to call you back again. Melee his back once more, but he won’t find it satisfying this time. |
| 6 | ![]() Head outside to the end of the ramp to his house and use the air gust on the geyser on the right to updraft. Use your grappling hook to climb up to the mountainside. |
| 7 | ![]() Follow the marked objective to the jumping point. Jump and glide over Crack MaBacky, then perform a ground slam to pop his back. This will complete the mission. Note that if you miss Crack MaBacky during the ground slam, try slamming him again from inside the house. If that doesn't work, you’ll need to climb back up and aim for him again. |
