Favourable Beginnings adds up your Proficiency Bonus to your first attack against an enemy, meaning it helps increase the odds of success for you when beginning battle and attacking with your weapon.
This ability can work great when the character you equipped it with has high Dexterity, given that the particular stat determines the order of turns in battle.
The Rogue Class is perfect for utilizing Favourable Beginnings, given that the class has a high value for its Dexterity stat.
