How to Solve Defiled Temple Puzzle

Moon Door Puzzle Solution (Stone Discs)

Solve the Moon Puzzle via Stone Discs

The Moon Puzzle is solved by rotating the stone discs in a way in which all white orbs are positioned away from the illuminated stone disc at the bottom. Follow the steps below to solve the puzzle that unlocks the door that leads to the Underdark:

• Rotate the top stone disc once.
• Next, rotate the left stone disc once.
• Rotate the right stone disc twice.
• Rotate the bottom stone disc three times.
• Finally, rotate the left stone disc twice to solve the puzzle

Use Lockpick on the Lever (Alternative)

Alternatively, you can skip the Moon Puzzle entirely by using the Lockpick option on a Lever near the locked door. You'll first have to roll a successful Perception check in order to gain access to the lever.

If your party members failed the check, you can reload a previous save and try again.

How to Get to the Defiled Temple

Go Inside the Sanctum at Goblin Camp

Head inside the Shattered Sanctum which is at the northern section of the Goblin Camp. This is where the three goblin leaders are also located.

Use Lockpick on the Southwest Door

Use a Thieves' Tool to unlock the door at the southwest corner of the sanctum. The door will be beside a brazier and a headless statue.

How to Get Thieves' Tool

Unlock Second Door Using Lockpick

Inside the room there will be another locked door. Use your Thieves' Tool again to unlock it.

Proceed Through the Defiled Temple

Enter the Defiled Temple and look for an entrance that leads down to the crypt. Keep venturing through the temple until you come across the Moon Puzzle.
