Control Combo Split-Screen Possible?
Keyboard and Mouse + Controller
2 Controllers ✔️

The split-screen co-op mode is accessed in Baldur's Gate 3 by connecting two controllers and starting a multiplayer game.

Note that this feature will only work using two controllers connected to your PC. A mixed setup like a keyboard and mouse combo plus a controller for split-screen co-op mode will not work, and the game will not recognize the second player.

Split-Screen Co-Op Mode Not Available for Steam Deck

On the other hand, Steam Deck users will have no access to this feature, as split-screen co-op mode is disabled for the handheld as reported by several users upon release.

How to Set Up Split-Screen Co-Op Mode

Create a Multiplayer Game and Add a Player via a Second Controller

Players can start a split-screen co-op mode by creating a multiplayer game from the main menu with two controllers connected to a PC.

Afterward, once the game is looking for another player, use the second controller for it to be recognized by the game so the pair can now play the game via split-screen!
