Description | A reward received from biting Araj Oblodra. Vampirism has sometimes been called The Dark Gift, or the Dark Kiss, perhaps as an allusion to their forbidden relationship to sunshie, It does not provide gifts in abundance; such is the case with this potion. |
In order to get this potion, players will first need to reach Act 2 of the main story and infiltrate Moonrise Towers. Take the Underdark or Mountain Path route in order to begin making your way to the seat of the Absolute.
How to Infiltrate Moonrise Towers
Once you arrive in Moonrise Towers, search for a female drow by the name of Araj Oblodra in the Main Floor of the fortress. When viewed from the area map, her location will be marked with the bag icon indicating her location as a merchant.
When you first speak to Araj, she will mention that she is interested in your blood. She asks if she can have a sample and, in exchange, she will reward you with a unique potion tailored to your needs. You will need to accept her proposal in order to begin the process of getting the Potion of Everlasting Vigour.
After you get your blood extracted, Araj will comment on Astarion and tell you that she wants to meet the vampire spawn. Bring him along and allow them to talk. During the conversation, tell Astarion to drink her blood in order to get the Potion of Everlasting Vigour.
Araj's blood is tainted with the blood of an Illithid, prompting Astarion to refuse drinking it. If you tell him to suck it up and drink it to get the permanent +2 Strength potion, Astarion will disapprove. To keep the approval gain positive, pick the following dialogue choices during the conversation:
Note: Having Astarion drink Araj's blood will also unlock a unique conversation with him during one of your Long Rests. In it, he will open up about his time under Cazador, allowing you to comfort (or deride) him in the process.
