・What Are They? Can We Stop Them?! is a tutorial Stage, so you can only choose the Hero Gear to complete it. ・The Hero Gear has a high fire rate but short range, so be sure to keep a safe distance when attempting to splat enemies. ・The Sub Weapon for this stage, Small Fry, can be used to reach items and attack enemies from a distance. |

What Are They? Can We Stop Them?! focuses on defeating Octarians as effectively as possible. By using the walls found throughout this stage you can avoid enemy attacks, and catch them off guard, making them much easier to defeat.
Attacking from above allows you to splat multiple enemies more easily, and makes it easier to dodge their attacks. As such using ink to climb to high places and attack from above is recommended.
Enemy Ink can slow your movements, making you vulnerable to enemy attacks. It is advised to cover any enemy ink with your own before proceeding through the stage.
