Snorlax can be found at the locations listed above. This means that you will need to go to one of the areas and either catch them in the wild, trade for them from an NPC, or obtain it as a gift.
You can obtain the Poke Flute item after completing the 4th gym and saving Mr. Fuji at Pokemon Tower. Find Snorlax either in Route 12 or 16 and interact with it to play the Poke Flute.
Since there are only 2 Snorlax Pokemon in the game, it is highly recommended to save the game before using the Poke Flute. If you defeat Snorlax, you can load the save file to try again without losing the chance to encounter the Pokemon again.
There are only 2 Snorlax Pokemon you can encounter in the game. You cannot find them in the wild, just on Route 12 or 16, so don't miss the chance to capture Snorlax.
For the best odds in capturing Snorlax, it is better to inflict status effects like Sleep, Frozen, or Paralysis. Lower its HP until the bar becomes red, then use Ultra Balls or Great Balls to capture it.
| Nature | Increased Stat | Decreased Stat |
|---|---|---|
| Adamant | Attack | Sp. Attack |
| Careful | Sp. Defense | Sp. Attack |
An Adamant nature is one of the best choices for Snorlax because it boosts its already high Attack while lowering Special Attack, a stat it rarely uses. This allows Snorlax to deal more damage with powerful physical moves like Body Slam, Return, or Shadow Ball, making it an even stronger offensive tank.
A Careful nature, on the other hand, increases Snorlax’s Special Defense, further improving its ability to absorb special attacks. Combined with its massive HP, this lets Snorlax switch into special attackers more comfortably and tank on the field longer.
