Players can have their Pokemon learn either Mega Punch or Mega Kick from a Move Tutor on Route 4 in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (FRLG). Check out which among Mega Punch or Mega Kick to choose in this guide!
| Stats | Mega Punch | Mega Kick |
|---|---|---|
| PP | 20 | 5 |
| Strength | 80 | 120 |
| Accuracy | 85 | 75 |
While Mega Kick is significantly more powerful at 120 Base Strength, the move is limited by its low accuracy and low PP limit. For consistency, Mega Punch comes out to be the more reliable option.
It may have a lot less power at 80 Base Strength, but both its higher PP and Accuracy make it a more dependable mid-game Normal-type option that you can easily replace down the line.

To learn either move, speak to the Black Belts on Route 4, east of the exit of Mt. Moon. You can learn from both of the Move Tutors, regardless of who you pick first.
