Pokemon FRLG - Can You Get Espeon

You cannot get Espeon in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (FRLG). See more details about whether you can get Espeon, how to get Espeon, and its game data in this guide.

Can You Get Espeon?

Not Possible on FRLG Normally

Eevee to Espeon

In Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, it is not possible to get Espeon. Eevee evolves into Espeon by raising its friendship and leveling it during the day.

Since the game does not have an in-game clock system, Eevee cannot evolve into Espeon. The only Eevee evolutions you can get normally are Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon.

Trade with Other Pokemon Games

Pokemon Trading Animation

The only way to get Espeon into your game is by trading with other Pokemon games. During the game's release in the Game Boy Advance, you could trade an Eevee to Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald, evolve it there, and trade back the evolved Pokemon.

How to Trade

Trading at the Pokemon Network Center

Pokemon Network Center

The Pokemon Network Center in One Island allows you to trade with other Pokemon games like Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. It can be unlocked after completing Celio's quest as post-game content in Sevii Islands.

Not Possible on the Nintendo Switch

Trading Pokemon via the Direct Corner

Currently, the Nintendo Switch does not have any way to trade Pokemon from different game titles into FireRed and LeafGreen. Therefore, it is also not possible to get Espeon through trading.
