How to Get the Fame Checker
Defeat Your Rival at Nugget Bridge
To get the Fame Checker, you'll have to defeat your Rival in a battle at Nugget Bridge, close to Cerulean City. Speak to him afterwards and he will give you this Key Item.
How to Use the Fame Checker
Use From the Key Items Tab of the Bag
The Fame Checker will be in the Key Items section of your Bag. To use it, open your Bag and head to Key Items, scroll down to the Fame Checker, and press A to find the Use option.
Displays Info About Certain NPCs
The Fame Checker will provide information about several NPCs in the game, ranging from what they do, to their bonds or their favorite Pokemon. There are six entries per NPC, and collecting all of them will unlock a special message from that NPC for the player.
To get these entries, players have to reach specific areas and interact with certain NPCs to get dialogue and info about the person in the Fame Checker.
