You can wait for the Pokemon to recover from Sleep on its own by spending turns in battle until it wakes up. However, to quickly cure Sleep, you can use an Awakening or a Blue Flute. A Pokemon that's holding a Chesto Berry during battle can also recover from Sleep on its own.

| Confusion | Infatuation | Flinch | |||
| Bind and Trap | Curse | ||||
The following are status conditions that are not listed on your Pokemon's HP bar during battle. These status conditions can occur simultaneously with the main status conditions listed previously.
A confused Pokemon has the possibility of attacking and dealing damage to itself during battle. With this, confused Pokemon are capable of making itself feint from its own attacks.
| Items That Cure Confusion | |
|---|---|
| Yellow Flute | Persim Berry |
Pokemon can automatically recover from Confusion after a few turns. Confusion also cannot be inflicted on Pokemon with the Own Tempo ability. To quickly cure Confusion, you can use items like the Yellow Flute and Persim Berry.
When a Pokemon uses the move Attract on a target of the opposite gender, the target Pokemon will become infatuated. Infatuated Pokemon can sometimes refuse to attack the opposing Pokemon due to being immobilized by love.
| Items That Cure Infatuation | |
|---|---|
| Red Flute | Mental Herb |
Infatuation ends when either the infatuated Pokemon or the Pokemon it's infatuated with is switched out of battle. Pokemon with the Oblivious Ability are immune to Infatuation. Items like the Red Flute and Mental Herb can also help a Pokemon recover from Infatuation.
When a Pokemon flinches, it doesn't attack during that turn. Flinch doesn't have any remedies, but it's easily mitigated since it only lasts for one turn.
However, Flinch cannot be inflicted on the first Pokemon that moves in a turn. Pokemon that have the Inner Focus ability are also immune from flinching.
When a move causes a Pokemon to be bound or trapped, the Pokemon can't be switched out for up to 5 turns. If it comes from a wild encounter, you are unable to flee. The Pokemon also takes damage at the end of every turn.
However, Pokemon are still able to perform moves normally even while bound or trapped.
