To take part of the Berry Crush minigame, players must obtain the Powder Jar from an old man in Cerulean City. Enter the house north of the Cerulean City Poke Center and talk to the old man to get the item.
Powder Jar Effect and How to Get

The Berry Crush minigame requires 2-5 players to play. Head to the second floor of any Poke Center. Connect with players at the Pokemon Wireless Club Direct Corner and select if you will join a group or be a Leader of a group.

Players will choose which Berry to crush. Each berry has a different base Berry Powder and difficulty to crush. Different combinations of Berries can yield more Berry Powder rewards.
Take note that the game consumes your own Berries in your bag. Berries can be obtained by picking it up on patches of grass or from wild Pokemon with the Pickup Ability.

The objective of the game is to crush the Berries as much as you can within the time limit. Keep tapping the A button as fast as possible. Having more players increases the amount of Berry Powder rewarded.

The game will compute the sum of the base Berry Powder of all berries and multiply it with the Silkiness (from 0 to 100%) and the number of players to know how much Berry Powder will be awarded to each player.

You can exchange the Berry Powder rewards with Herbal Medicines and Vitamins. Talk to the old man in Cerulean City again, who gave you the Powder Jar to start exchanging.
