How to Get All 3 Starters

Can Only Get All Starters by Trading

Trading Starter Pokemon

In FireRed and LeafGreen, the only way for you to get all 3 Starter Pokemon through legitimate means is to receive them via trade. You are limited to obtaining only one of the Starters in a save file, and the ones that you didn't pick unfortunately can't be found in the wild.

If you have a friend or another copy of the game on another console, a save file with a different Starter can be created on the other copy. After unlocking the Pokemon Wireless Club on the other copy, the Starter can eventually be traded to your console.

Since you can only keep one save file on each copy of the game, you'll have to repeat the process of selecting a Starter and going through the tutorial phase to trade several times until you manage to get all 3 Starters.

Pokemon FRLG - Venusaur Venusaur 80 82 83 100 100 80

Charizard has the best offensive power, Blastoise has the best defenses, and Venusaur is the strongest at handling Special attacks. Since they also cover different move types, having all 3 Starter Pokemon on a team would allow you to cover more weaknesses.
