The Amulet Coin can be obtained from Prof. Oak's Aide in the Route 16 Gate of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen (FRLG). See how to get the Amulet Coin and how to use it in this guide!
List of Contents
To get the Amulet Coin, head west from Celadon City and enter the Gate at Route 16. If the entrance is still blocked by a Snorlax, you'll need to wake it up with the Poke Flute obtained by saving Mr. Fuji from the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town.
Once you've entered the Route 16 Gate, head up to the second floor and speak to Prof. Oak's Aide , who'll be sitting at the table nearest to the stairs.
Prof. Oak's Aide will only give you the Amulet Coin once you have 40 Pokemon registered in your Pokedex. If you don't have enough, you can return to claim the Amulet Coin after capturing the required number.
You can make a Pokemon hold onto the Amulet Coin to earn double the money from Pokemon battles! The Amulet Coin takes effect if the Pokemon that's holding it is participating in the battle. There's no way to get another Amulet Coin, so be sure not to lose it!
