| Route 13, 14, and 15 | Fuchsia City and Safari Zone |
| Fuchsia Gym | - |
| 1 | ![]() After the fight with Erika, backtrack via Route 8 into the Pokemon Tower at the northeastern end of Lavender Town. Make sure you collect the Silph Scope that Giovanni dropped in Team Rocket's Hideout before proceeding. ▶ Silph Scope Location |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Continue exploring the upper floors of the Tower until you reach the 6th floor. The Silph Scope allows you to properly combat the Ghost-type Pokemon in the area, as it won't force you to just run anymore. Be sure to take on the Trainers here for extra EXP. They primarily use Gastly from Lv. 22-24, so you can use Dark-type moves to defeat them easily. |
| 3 | ![]() Once you reach the stairs leading to the 7th floor, your Silph Scope will reveal that the Ghost is actually a Level 30 Marowak that was initially blocking the entrance. Defeat it to free the Marowak's soul and make your way upstairs. |
| 4 | ![]() There will be 3 Team Rocket Grunts blocking the way, and defeat them to free Mr. Fuji from their grasp. Their Pokemon mainly consists of Poison and Psychic types from Lv. 23-26, so prepare accordingly. |
| 1 | ![]() After saving Mr. Fuji, you will be automatically teleported to the Pokemon House. Speak to him to get the Poké Flute, which will allow you to wake up the two Snorlax blocking the way to either the west of Celadon or south of Lavender Town. ▶ Lavender Town Guide |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Leave Mr. Fuji's house and head south of Lavender Town to reach Route 12. Afterwards, continue heading south until you reach a Snorlax blocking a T-junction. Use the Poké Flute given to you by Mr. Fuji to wake up the Snorlax and try to catch it! Continue south to get to Fuchsia City. In addition, go inside the house south of the Snorlax junction to get the Super Rod from the Fishing Guru. This specific Guru also calculates the weight of any Magikarp you have in your party and will give you rewards for higher weight catches. ▶ Super Rod Location and Details |
| 1 | ![]() Continue heading south of Route 12 to arrive at Route 13, this time forcing you to fight through the fence maze full of Trainers. Make sure to take them all on to get as much EXP as possible. ▶ EXP Farming Guide |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Escape the fence maze through the southwest exit, which is part of Route 14. Continue heading south until you reach Route 15, where you'll need to head west until you arrive in. |
| * | ![]() Look for a small tree that you can cut down to grant you access to the upper ledge in Route 15. Go far left until you get TM18 Rain Dance. |
| 1 | From here on out, you can choose to either go through the Safari Zone or challenge the Gym straight away. We suggest exploring the Safari Zone first to catch more Pokemon and obtain valuable items. ▶ Safari Zone Guide |
|---|---|
| 2 |
![]() Gold Teeth Location After paying the entrance fee and entering the Safari Zone, head through the eastern path to reach Area 2 from the Area 1. From there, follow the path north and west to get to Area 3, then continue west to take the most southwestern path leading south. Once you're in Area 4, immediately pick up the Gold Teeth south of the sign. You may also enter the building to the northwest to get HM03 Surf after talking to the man. ▶ How to Get Surf |
| 3 | Explore the rest of Fuchsia CIty to discover items such as the Good Rod or people such as the Move Deleter. ▶ Fuchsia City Guide |
| 1 | Before challenging the gym, you can head to the right of the city's Pokemon Center and head to the Warden's House to give him the Gold Teeth and get HM04 Strength as a reward! ▶ How to Get Strength |
|---|---|
| 2 | ![]() Once you're ready, enter the Fuchsia Gym a few houses to the left of the Pokemon Center. You'll need to go through the invisible maze inside to reach the Gym Leader. You can follow the general direction of the other trainers in the gym to reach the middle. They'll mainly have Poison and Psychic Pokemon from Lv. 31-34. Experiment on which path is blocked and which is open until you reach Koga. |
| 3 | ![]() Defeat Koga to obtain the Soul Badge and TM06: Toxic. The badge allows you to use Surf outside of battle while increasing the Defense stats of your active Pokemon. You can then head to Saffron City afterwards for your next gym battle and the continuation of your journey. ▶ How to Beat Koga |
