This is by far the most frustrating part of the entire game; awful design, awful quest.
I think it's really poor design to have the room completely lit with the EXACT same color as the "You can destroy this" color. I didn't notice any of the ceiling pipes until well after.
exact same thing happened to me. Beat the boss, grabbed a drink and started looking at loot until I realized there was a timer without nearly enough time left lol. There definitely needs to be more emphasis/something in your face to let you know, even if it's flashing lights or something similar to let you know YOU'RE NOT DONE YET
I had zero idea there was a timer because I was busy looking at the loot dropped from the boss. Would have been nice if there was more than just some tiny text in the top left of my screen...
I killed him on accident, I was not paying attention to the mission bc of the frame dropps. :(
