| 1 |  After finishing the events in Esquie's Nest, mount Esquie and travel northward. Shatter the blue rocks by running over them to reach the entrance to Stone Wave Cliffs. ▶ Esquie's Nest 100% Guide |
| 2 |  On entry, continue forward until a cutscene is triggered. Enter the tunnel to find the first Expedition Flag of the area past the exit. |
| 3 |  Enter the next area to find a Hexga and enter the tunnel past this enemy. |
| 4 |  Jump across the gap via grapple and turn left. Take the left path to find the Expedition 56 Journal, then continue to enter the next section of the area. |
Paintress Shrine
| Paintress Shrine Walkthrough | |

| 1 |  Grapple to the other side of the chasm to find the Paintress Shrine rest point. |
| 2 |  From the rest point, turn right and head towards the shipwreck. Watch out for the Rocher ambush from the right beyond the stone bridge. |
| 3 |  Continue onwards to find a fork in the path. Head right to encounter a cavern past the Greatsword Cultist. |
| 4 |  Continue past the cavern to arrive at a cliff at the end of the path. Grapple towards the next cliff and ascend via the light rope to find the next Expedition Flag. |
Old Farm

| 1 |  A Hexga can be seen immediately upon arriving at the Old Farm. Defeat it to acquire the Confident Picto. |
| 2 |  Past the Hexga is a Paint Spike that can only be broken upon finding 4 Lost Gestrals, only possible during Act 2. Ignore it for now and head up the right slope and climb the hand holds to proceed. |
Basalt Waves

| 1 |  Past the hand holds is a white Hexga that holds one of the Nevron Quests available in the game. Enter the opening to find the Tide Cavern rest point, then grapple towards the next platform. Ride the light rope at the end of the path afterwards. ▶ Hexga Quest Guide |
| 2 |  Stick to the left path and ascend the slope, followed by a grapple over a gap at the end. Move past the Greatsword Cultist and ascend the light rope to find the Basalt Waves rest point. Rest at the expedition flag to prepare for the upcoming boss fight with the Lampmaster. ▶ How to Beat Lampmaster |
| 3 |  After defeating Lampmaster, an encounter with the White-Haired Man will occur afterwards. This fight is scripted and will force a 1-on-1 fight with Gustave. Act 1 will end after the cutscenes following the boss fight, and Act 2 will begin soon after. |
How to Get to Stone Wave Cliffs
Head North from Esquie's Nest
To get to Stone Wave Cliffs, you must first obtain Esquie from the previous quest objective in Esquie's Nest as part of Act 1.
Summon Esquie in the overworld to ride on top of them, then smash into the black rocks blocking the way to the Stone Wave Cliffs.

How to Catch Petank
Lead It to the Trap
At the Old Farm checkpoint of Stone Wave Cliffs, approach the first shack on the right to find the Petank below. Approach from behind and make the Petank pass through the gates.
Chase the Petank from the left afterwards to force it into an alleyway on the right, and the illuminated tile should be at the other end of this path.

Lampmaster is the main story boss of Stone Wave Cliffs encountered past the Basalt Waves rest point. Lamps will light up as you approach the depths of the cavern where the fight occurs.
Chromatic Gault is the optional boss in Stone Wave Cliffs located near the Old Farms rest point past the Paint Spike. Note that you need to find 4 Lost Gestrals for access which is only possible from Act 2 onwards.
Stone Wave Cliffs Fast Travel Locations

 1. Entrance Found right at the entrance to the area. |
 2. Paintress Shrine Progress until you meet the Young Boy once more. The flag will be within sight from this NPC. |
 3. Old Farm This flag is past the large open-air cave with numerous floating lamps. Use your grappler to get a a new area and climb a light rope to reach this area. |
 4. Tide Caverns Move through the area until you cross a gap with some hand holds and meet the friendly NPC Hexga. The flag will be in a cave immediately after. |
 5. Basalt Waves From the Tide Caverns, take the path that leads upward until you find this rest point, which is your last rest point before the boss at the end of the area. |
 6. Flooded Buildings The Flooded Buildings are an optional area full of enemies and items. From the Basalt Waves flag, find the nearby grapple spot and grapple to it. The Flooded Buildings flag will immediately be in a nearby building. |
