Chromatic Reaper Cultist Location
The Continent
This boss will only be accessible after completing Old Lumiere in Act 2: Verso once Esquie unlocks their ability to swim through corals.
Once unlocked, the player can reference The Continent's map and find the Chromatic Reaper Cultist in an unnamed, isolated island with yellow shrubbery to the east beside Sky Island, Coastal Cave and north of White Sands.
How to Beat Chromatic Reaper Cultist
Free-Aim Shooting
Like the regular Reaper Cultist, this boss is best exploited with its free-aim shot weakness as this is the only way to reliably take down the boss due to its flight capabilities.
Using a weapon with the Dark element for free-aim attacks paired with Pictos and Luminas that improve free-aim will help take down the boss quicker.
Combat Guide and Tips
Avoid or Nullify Applied Status Effects
Should the boss engage at you, practice your dodges as being hit continuously by their Scythe Combo will cause the party member being attacked to be afflicted with Blight, reducing that party member's health by 10%.
Lune's skills that clear status effects such as Healing Light can help should you get hit by the Chromatic Reaper Cultist.

Parry and Counter
The only other way to take down this boss is with a full-send counter by parrying all of its attack strings. The boss has an easy-to-remember moveset with only two moves, one where it casts projectiles and a scythe combo.
The projectile attacks are easier and more instantaneous to parry but be careful with the bait animations. The seven-hit scythe attack is harder to parry but will deal significant damage to the boss if parried successfully.

| How to Dodge | Wait for the boss to swing their staff and for the projectile to come out before dodging. The last three projectiles will come out in tandem and require a team dodge. |
