Should You Attack Jar?

It is not recommended to attack Jar as players will lose the opportunity to gain a special reward later in the story. Another Nevron NPC can be spoken to later on that will award the players for keeping these special Nevrons alive.
Attacking Jar Will Lead to a Boss Fight
Choosing to attack Jar will lead to a boss fight. Restore your health and update your attributes and skills at the nearby rest point before choosing this option.

Finish all of the Nevron quests.

After completing all the Nevron Quests and attaining the Aiding the Enemy achievement, players can return to Jar and attack him for extra rewards. This maximizes the items and experience gained without missing any of the possible loot.

Found Behind the Barrels Near the Bridge
| Jar Side Quest Walkthrough | |

| 1 |  Speak to Jar to trigger the quest. They will mention that they are "awaiting the light of their Mistress". |
| 2 |  Enter the opening next to the Expedition Flag to enter The Indigo Tree. Head down the slope and turn right, then take the left path towards the bridge. |
| 3 |  Upon approaching the bridge from the Expedition Flag, jump down the gap on its left railing. |
| 4 |  Continue onward past the Abbest to find a purple glow behind a stack of barrels. Destroy the barrels to pickup the Resin item. |
| 5 |  Return to Jar and give them the Resin when prompted. |
| 6 | Once Jar stands up, shoot the tip of their polearm to light it. Speak to Jar afterwards trigger a short dialogue where the light will disappear soon after. A Healing Tint Shard is awarded after the dialogue concludes. |
| 7 |  Players can speak to Jar again and choose to either leave them alone or attack them, where the latter choice triggers a fight with Jar. |
Jar Quest Rewards
Healing Tint Shard
After lighting the Resin, players are awarded with a Healing Tint Shard that increases the maximum uses of Healing Tints in battle.
Colour of Lumina and Chroma Catalyst
Players can obtain Colour of Lumina x3 and Chroma Catalyst x1 during the quest. Note that these rewards are only available after attacking and winning against Jar in battle.

Jar is a Quest NPC that's located in Spring Meadows, which is unlocked during Act 1 in the story. They can be found near the 81st Abandoned Expeditioner's Camp, next to the petrified Expeditioner holding a polearm.
Jar will mention needing a "light" from its Mistress, which can be found within The Indigo Tree area of Spring Meadows.
