All Romance Options
There are only two characters you can romance in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

| Level 3 | Let her watch you when she asks to observe you. Note: Avoid Sciel's route. It is possible to lock yourself out of romancing Lune if you progress Sciel first. |
| Level 4 | Invite her to play music together with you. |
| Level 5 | Find the Expedition 46 Journal at Sirene's Dress during the start of Act 3 |
| Level 6 | Help Lune with "her song". |
As the daughter of prominent researchers, Lune has spent her entire life in the pursuit of knowledge, sacrificing everything else in the process, including love. Verso just might be what changes that.
Sciel

| Level 3 | Accept Sciel's night invitation to go on an adventure. Note: Avoid Lune's route. It is possible to lock yourself out of romancing Sciel if you progress Lune first. |
| Level 4 | Accompany Sciel even if you feel used. |
| Level 5 | Celebrate with Sciel. |
| Level 6 | Talk to Sciel in camp. |
Losing her husband and child has made Sciel come to terms with her own mortality, referring to dying as "going home". Verso may be able to give her a reason to keep going.
Sciel Romance Lockout Bug
There is a possible bug where players will be locked out of Sciel's romance route even without progressing Lune's relationship if they romanced Lune on another save. It is recommended to avoid Lune's relationship if players wish to guarantee a romance with Sciel.
Should You Romance Lune or Sciel?
Choose Any Character You Like
Romance does not affect the story nor does romancing a character give you any special items. You will only receive new dialogue and a better chance at understanding your party members a bit more intimately.
Relationship Levels Unlock Gradient Attacks
While Romance gives no benefits, reaching certain relationship levels will unlock powerful Gradient Attacks that your party members can use in battle.
You will unlock a character's second gradient attack once you reach relationship level 4 with them, and another once you reach relationship level 7.
