The Abyss Boss Locations
Simon
Simon is an optional superboss, the only enemy of The Abyss and is unmissable. The player should level their characters before engaging this boss, as it is one of the hardest boss fights in-game. Defeating the boss gives an initial reward of 1,237,500 EXP and Chroma.
Simon Second Phase
The battle with Simon is not over however, as after the cutscene, the boss will power-up for their second and last phase. Simon will one-shot even high-level players so pure skill and ability is required to take it down.
Should the player defeat Simon, a cutscene will play and Verso will be given the Simoso weapon.

How to Find The Abyss
Finish Renoir's Drafts
Get to the end of Renoir's Drafts, accessible by unlocking Esquie's ability to dive. This ability is only unlocked by getting Relationship Level 6 with them.
The dive point for Renoir's Drafts will open, located to the southeast of the Visages and southwest of Sirene. Get to the Golden Tree section of Renoir's Drafts to find The Abyss.

Renoir's Drafts
The only area that connects to The Abyss is a portal from Renoir's Drafts leading near the Golden Tree Expeditionary Flag.
The player can exit The Abyss itself by using the Expeditionary Flag near the Simon boss fight.
Jump Down To The Abyss
To reach Simon and fight them, the player must go to the portal. Go through the crawlspace, continue northwards then drop down to reach The Abyss proper.
