Gradient Attacks are powerful moves you unlock in Act 2 of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. See how to use Gradient Attacks, how to unlock them, and a list of all Gradient Attacks here!
How to Use Gradient Attacks
Fill Up the Gradient Gauge Using Skills
To use a Gradient Attack you must first fill up the Gradient Gauge by spending AP to cast Skills. Once enough AP is spent and the Gauge is filled up, you will gain 1 Gradient Charge
Select the Gradient Attack You Want to Use
After getting a Gradient Charge, you can then select the Gradient Attack option on the charater of your choosing and select the Gradient Attack you want to use.
Different Gradient Attacks have different costs, so make sure you have enough Gradient Charges.
Using Gradient Attacks Do Not End Your Turn
Unlike Skills that normally end your turn upon using them, Gradient Attacks do not end your turn after performing them, basically giving you two attacks in a turn.

| Shadow Bringer | Skill Effect: Deals high single target Dark damage to random enemies. 10 hits. Applies 1 Foretell per hit. Cost: 1GC |
| Doom | Skill Effect: Deals very high single target Dark damage. 3 hits. Applies Powerless, Defenceless, and Slow for 3 turns. Can Break. Cost: 2GC |
| Tremor | Skill Effect: Deals high Earth damage to all enemies. 1 hit. Removes all enemies' Shields. Cost: 1GC |
| Tree of Life | Skill Effect: Cleanses all status effects and Heals all allies. Cost: 2GC |
| Sabotage | Skill Effect: Deals medium Physical damage to all enemies. 1 hit. Applies Mark. Cost: 1GC |
| Striker | Skill Effect: Deals high single target Physical damage. 1 hit. Can Break. Cost: 2GC |
| Virtuose Strike | Skill Effect: Deals high single target Physical damage. 5 hits. Cost: 1GC |
| Phoenix Flame | Skill Effect: Applies 10 Burn to all enemies and revives all allies with 50 to 70% Health Cost: 2GC |
| Mighty Strike | Skill Effect: Deals high single target damage. 2 hits. Uses weapon's element. Deals double damage if the target is Stunned. Goes to Almighty Mask. Cost: 1GC |
| End Slice | Skill Effect: Deals extreme single target Physical damage. 1 hit. Damage is increased for each Foretell consumed since the beginning of the battle. Cost: 3GC |
| Sky Break | Skill Effect: Deals extreme damage to all enemies. 1 hit. Element depends on which Stains Lune has the most. Can Break. Cost: 3GC |
| Angel's Eyes | Skill Effect: Deals extreme Physical Damage. 8 hits. Gain 1 additional Perfection per hit. Applies Aureole to Verso, reviving him if he dies. Cost: 3GC |
| Gommage | Skill Effect: Kills weak targets. Otherwise deal extreme Void damage. 1 hit. Cost: 3GC |
| Sanctuary | Skill Effect: Gives 2 Shields and applies Regen to all allies for 3 turns. Cost: 2GC |
| Break Point | Skill Effect: Deals extreme single target damage. 1 hit. Uses weapon's element. Fills the target's Break Bar and Breaks it. Cost: 3GC |
How to Unlock Gradient Attacks
Reach Monoco's Station in Act 2
Once you reach and defeat Monoco in Monoco's Station in Act 2, you will enter another boss fight against a Stalact. During the fight, Monoco will teach your team how to perform a Gradient Attack. This officially unlocks the Gradient Attack system.
Improve Verso's Relationship With Other Characters
You acn also unlock additional Gradient Attacks whenever you improve your relationship level with certain characters. Reaching specific relationship levels will unlock stronger Gradient Attacks.
