Should You Attack Portier?
Do Not Attack Portier Initially

It is not recommended to attack Portier as players will lose the opportunity to gain a special reward later in the story. Another Nevron NPC can be spoken to later on that will award the players for keeping these special Nevrons alive.
Attacking Portier Will Lead to a Boss Fight
Choosing to attack Portier will lead to a boss fight. Restore your health and update your attributes and skills at the nearby rest point before choosing this option.

Finish all of the Nevron quests.

It is recommended to unlock the Aiding the Enemy achievement first before attacking Portier. This requires completing all the Nevron Quests available in the game, which can only be attained during Act 3.
Doing so will allow players to maximize the rewards for the quest and battle loot without missing any items and experience.

Found Outside the Maze of Esoteric Ruins
| Portier Side Quest Walkthrough | |

| 1 |  Speak to floating orb to trigger the quest. It will mention that "something is resonating with it beyond the cliff.". Near the flag, climb the wall and then head to the top of the cliff. |
| 2 |  At the top of the cliff, you'll see more ruins below. Drop down and enter the ruins and you'll notice that it's a maze. You'll have to unlock pathways using the glowing orbs to get to the exit. |
| 3 | Enter the maze and you'll have to shoot the glowing orbs to open the pathways. Just follow the video and you'll get to the exit. |
| 4 |  At the exit, move forward until you see a fallen roof. To the right of the fallen roof is some wood, where you'll see the Wood Boards item. Pick it up and use the grapple hooks to get back to the location of the floating orb at the start. |
| 5 |  Give the floating orb the Wood Boards when prompted. Continue with the dialogue and the Portier will appear. |
| 6 |  Finish the dialogue with the Portier to get the Protecting Heal Pictos as a reward. |
| 7 |  Players can speak to Portier again and choose to either leave them alone or attack them, where the latter choice triggers a fight with Portier. |
Portier Quest Rewards
Protecting Heal Pictos
After giving the Wood Boards to the Portier, players are awarded with a Protecting Heal Pictos that lets you apply Shell when healing an ally in battle.
Colour of Lumina and Polished Chroma Catalyst
Players can obtain Colour of Lumina x3 and Chroma Catalyst x1 during the quest. Note that these rewards are only available after attacking and winning against Portier in battle.

Portier is a Quest NPC that's located in the Esoteric Ruins. Inside the ruins, you'll have to interact with a floating orb and do the Esoteric Ruin's maze to get the Wood Boards item and make Portier appear.
