Mask Keeper Location
Fought in Visages
The Mask Keeper is fought at the Peaks area of the Visages location, accessed by taking the path directly ahead of Blooraga. Note that it is only fought after defeating another boss, also called Visages.

How to Beat Mask Keeper
Defeat the Masks of Emotions
The Mask Keeper can be a difficult fight if players did not defeat the Masks of Emotions before the battle. These three optional boss masks are in the Joy Vale, Sadness Vale, and Anger Vale, all within the Visages area.
Each Mask pertains to a specific emotion, and provides support by buffing the Mask Keeper and debuffing the party. Defeating each of them in their respective Vale will disable them during the Mask Keeper fight, making it easier.
Heal Up Before Beating Visages
The fight happens directly after the Visages Boss, with no break to heal your party. As such, it is recommended to heal as much as you can before landing the last hit on Visages, to have full HP for the next fight.
Use Fire and Dark Attacks
The Mask Keeper is weak to Fire and Dark Element attacks, so use these elements against it to make the fight easier. Maelle and Sciel excel with these elements, and so they are recommended for this fight.
Mask Keeper Attack Patterns
Vehement Attack
| Mask Keeper attacks the Expedition. Performs a series of pairs of slashes with long intervals. | |
| How to Dodge | Listen to the sound cue. Dodge when the preparation sound is at its highest. |

| How to Counter | Parry all slashes to perform a counterattack. The slashes are near instant; look at the converging purple chroma near its knee as a visual cue. |
Storm Attack
| Mask Keeper attacks like a storm. Performs three slashes, then thrusts. | |
| How to Dodge | Dodge as soon as it swings its weapon. Watch out for the longer delay on the third and fourth hit. |

| How to Counter | Parry all four hits to counterattack. Note that each hit has a delayed windup followed by a quick execution. |
Fire Sword
| Mask Keeper sets fire to its sword. Swings three times, then performs a Gradient Attack. | |
| How to Dodge | Dodge after the pause for the first three hits, then perform a Gradient Parry on the last hit. Note the delay on the Gradient Attack. |

Ice Sword
| Mask Keeper turns his sword into ice. Pulses four ice waves from its sword. Can inflict Freeze. | |
| How to Dodge | Watch for the white energy that converges on the sword's hilt. Dodge as soon as it converges. |

Chaotic Combo
| Mask Keeper performs a chaotic combo. Attacks eight times with varying intervals. | |
| How to Dodge | Dodge as soon as the weapon is swung. The first two hits have short intervals, third and fourth have longer intervals, the fifth hit has the longest interval, and the last three hits have long intervals. |

Long Swing Combo
| Mask Keeper performs a long swing combo. Swings its weapon three times, then thrusts thrice. | |
| How to Dodge | The combo can be divided between swinging and thrusting. The first 3 hits are swings, with a quick 2 hit combo then a swing. The last 3 hits are thrusts, with identical intervals as the swings. Dodge as soon as the weapon is swung or struck. |
