Unlock Ability with 4 Gestrals and Talk to Sastro

Talk to Sastro for the Ability to Break Paint Spikes

To learn how to destroy Paint Spikes, you must collect at least 4 Lost Gestrals and talk to Sastro, an NPC in your camp. Sastro will show you how to break Paint Spikes, and you will be able to do it in the wild from that point onwards.

Use A Normal Attack on the Blue Roots

Attack with Melee to Break

When you encounter Paint Spikes in the wild, simply attack the blue roots with the regular melee attack you would use on enemies to destroy them!

Destroying Paint Spikes can lead to opening new paths or revealing hidden rewards.
