1. Maelle Has Great DPS Potential
Maelle is a great DPS, especially in the early parts of the game when synergized with Gustave and Lune. She has great DPS potential in the mid and late game, which makes her a perfect pick for the team.
Her only downside is that building her for high damage can lead to low defense, making it harder to keep her alive. You need to be good at parrying and dodging to make her live.

2. Monoco Rewards Your Investment
Monoco is a high investment, high returns type of character. He can act as a DPS or support depending on the skill setup and is versatile.
Monoco just requires farming from different Nevrons to unlock his skills, so you have limited options when first obtaining him. Once he gets enough Nevron skills, the possibilities for him are endless.

3. Verso is an All-Rounder Character
Verso's strength is in his high capability as both a support and damage dealer. He can perform as a DPS or as a support and is also versatile like Monoco. He also scales well into the mid and late game.

4. Sciel is a Scaling Character
Sciel is a character who early on seems a bit lacking, but in the mid and late game improves drastically when she gets better skills. Not only does she have damage but she can also support her allies, making her a strong pick for the team.

5. Lune Provides Elemental Flexibility
Lune's strength is in the various elements of her kit that you can mix and match. She can provide support or be a Sub-DPS with her Stain mechanic. She can be flexible as well, but other characters just outshine her in the support category.

6. Gustave is Only Valid in Early Game
Gustave is the team's frontliner from the start, being able to support and deal considerable damage. He's a valuable team member all the way through Act 1 of the main story, but is no longer as usable from Act 2 onwards.
Act 2 will also allow you to recruit Verso, who has a similar kit but is stronger overall.

Anonymous 7 monthsA lot of people clearly haven't invested in Monoco or Sciel according to those votes. Maelle's obviously a monster, but if you invest in Monoco and learn how Sciel works, they're insane.
