Recommended Attributes for Gustave

Gustav has great supportive skills, and can amplify both his allies' damage, as well as the damage that enemies take. With this in mind, prioritize his Agility and Vitality for good uptime on his skills, along with survivability.
Recommended Attributes for Lune

Invest in Lune's Vitality and Luck to increase her survivability early on and also increase the consistency of her critical hits.
In Act 2, reallocate your points to just Agility and Vitality once you switch her weapon to Kralim. In Act 3, invest in Defense and Agility for the Choralim weapon.
Recommended Attributes for Maelle

Maelle has good potential for damage due to her weapons of choice having good synergy with critical hits. Invest in her Luck and Might to maximize her damage output against enemies in Act 1.
For the rest of the story starting in Act 2, you can obtain better weapons for Maelle that scale off of Agility and Defense so invest on those stats instead.

Sciel can also do large amounts of damage, but will require stacking Foretell on enemies to maximize her output. Sciel's best stat in Act 1 is Agility followed by Luck, as you want her to attack often and deal Critical hits a lot.
For Act 2, you will get the chance to change to Rangeson that scales off of Agility and Defense, making them your next priority in terms of stats. In Act 3, focus on Defense and Luck since the weapon Charnon scales with them.
Sciel Best Builds and Attributes

Verso has access to several multi-hit skills that can all crit when they land. To maximize his damage output, invest into his Agility and Luck to let him act more frequently while increasing his damage with his weapons' scaling.

It's recommended to fully invest in Agility in Act 2 since this scales extremely well with the weapon Nusaro, increasing Monoco's attack, speed, and defense. Add points to Vitality as well to aid in Monoco's survivability.
When you get to Act 3, you can get the weapon Joyaro. Focus on Agility and Defense for its attribute scaling.

Note that it is also recommended to allocate a few points to other attributes during your run to avoid giving your characters too many weaknesses.

Character Attribute and Description
| Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| Vitality | Vitality is an Attribute that affects how much Health a character has, allowing your character to absorb hits better. Increasing it also provides a bit of Attack Power. |
| Might | Might affects a character's Attack Power which determines how much damage a character can do. |
| Agility | Agility will affect mainly Speed, but also provides a small amount of Defense when invested in. Higher Speed means more frequent turns, while Defense reduces damage taken. |
| Defense | Defense is the main Attribute that affects the Defense stat, and will provide a significant amount of it when invested in. If characters are taking too much damage, consider investing in this Attribute. |
| Luck | Luck affects a character's Critical Rate, which determines how often they land a Critical Hit. These Critical Hits deal 50% more damage, albeit at the cost of being chance-reliant. |

Affect a Character's Stats
A character's Attributes are what primarily influences their in-battle stats, such as Health, Attack Power, or Defense. Increasing these Attributes will upgrade the corresponding stat.

Also Affects Weapon Damage
Weapons will also have letter grades assigned to certain Attributes, which means that those Attributes can increase that weapon's damage when it is equipped.
The higher the letter grade, and the higher the associated Attribute's value for the equipping character, the more damage that weapon can deal.
How to Upgrade Attributes
Spend Points at an Expedition Flag
To increase a character's Attributes, players need to find an Expedition Flag in the overworld. When interacted with, it will bring up an interface that allows players to select the Upgrade Attributes option.
This will take players to the Attributes interface, where they can allocate their points as they choose.
Attribute Points are Gained per Level
Every character gains 3 Attribute Points every level, alongside one Skill Point. How these points are spent is entirely up to the player.
Reset Spent Attribute Points With a Recoat
If you are unsatisfied with your current Attribute Point allocation, you can consume a Recoat in a character's Attributes interface to reset their point allocation and re-spend their points.
