Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has an abandon battle feature that allows characters to leave the battle on command. Learn how to abandon the battle through two different methods in this guide!

How to Abandon Battle

Press and Hold the Flee Button

You can abandon the battle by pressing and holding the Flee Button during a fight. You can start to flee as soon as you control one of your characters.

Don't Retry After Losing

Don

You can also abandon a battle by choosing not to retry after getting beaten by the enemies. It will load you to your latest save file and not at the start of the battle.

You won't lose any items if you lose the fight and don't retry, so you can do so without worrying. You can only lose an item if you picked up an item prior to the save file.
