Scavemger How to Find
Locating the Scavenger requires the player to complete the Lady of Sap quest in Falling Leaves, involving a Little Boy behind a fenced-out gate. This gate unlocks once the quest is finished and the player speaks to the boy again.

The Scavenger itself is located at the last section of Falling Leaves past the gate. The player will go through some rope and grappling areas until they find another Expeditionary Flag. Walk towards the platform and the boss will appear.

How to Beat Scavenger

Use Light and Physical Attacks

Scavenger Light Damage Weakness
The Scavenger is weak to Light-based damage while also affected by Physical attacks. All other elements will be resisted by this boss and it will absorb Dark attacks so avoid bringing Lune or Sciel to this fight.

Verso and his kit works wonders against Scavenger. Skills such as Blitz, Phantom Stars and End Bringer will help in taking the boss down quicker.

Keep AP Up and Shoot the Masks

Scavenger Keep AP Up
AP is very important in this fight as it requires the player to shoot through Scavenger's masks to expose him. Make sure to have characters like Monoco or Maelle with spare AP to ensure the destruction of the masks.

Not doing so will cause him to reveal himself with a party-wide explosion, damaging all members with the masks still activated.

Cleanse Debuffs

How to Beat Scavenger Buff and Debuff
This boss applies Dizzy to the party via its masks that shoots lasers, making shots harder to aim. Having skills like Perfect Recovery and Purification allow for damage or healing and debuffing at the same time.

Using Tints for debuff cleansing can also work as a last resort should the player need a support crutch.

Scavenger Attack Patterns

Four-Combo Attack

Scavenger does a 4-hit combo to a party member.
How to Dodge First two swings can be dodged before impact, followed by a timed dodge on the fourth and a quick dodge on the last attack.
How to Counter Parry all 4 attack swings to successfully counter.

Twilight Mode

Scavenger turns dawn into twilight.
How to Dodge Attack cannot be dodged. Prepare for stronger incoming attacks.
How to Counter Attack cannot be parried. Prepare for stronger incoming attacks.

Summoning Masks

Scavenger summons masks.
How to Dodge Attack cannot be dodged.
How to Counter Shoot the masks to expose Scavenger.

Explosive Concealment

Scavenger explodes on the party before concealing itself, making it invulnerable.
How to Dodge Dodge before the explosion animation finishes.
How to Counter Counter by destroying the masks or properly timing the explosion parry.

Laser Barrage

Scavenger fires lasers with its masks.
How to Dodge Wait for the initial animation to play then immediately dodge before the laser appears.
How to Counter Wait for the initial animation then parry on the first instance of lasers appearing. The player can also destroy the masks to prevent them from firing.

Dark Magic Barrage

Scavenger shoots 8 dark magic attacks to all members at random.
How to Dodge The player must wait for the initial dark magic animation to finish then dodge just before the explosion. The player must dodge 8 times.
How to Counter Parry all 8 attacks to counter.

Explosive Reveal

Scavenger does a party-wide explosion if not revealed from the fog.
How to Dodge Dodge once the explosion appears.
How to Counter Parry before the explosion appears to counter. If the player shoots all the masks, Scavenger skips this move.
