You can get the Wood Boards after getting out of the maze in the Esoteric Ruins. You will find it on the roof of a collapsed building.

How to Use Wood Boards
Give the Wood Boards to the Spirit-Like NPC
You can give the Wood Board to the spirit-like NPC that you will encounter near the Lumiere's Wrecks Expedition Flag in the Esoteric Ruins. After giving the Wood Boards, the entity will transform to a Portier. You will also receive the Protecting Heal Pictos.

Should You Attack the Portier?
After the spirt transforms into a Portier, you have the option to attack the Nevron. Do not attack the Portier since you will earn the ire of Blanche, a Nevron found in The Fountain.
Blanche will give you x100 Colour of Lumina if you will not attack the Portier and any of the white friendly Nevrons. If you attack and defeat the Portier, you will only receive x3 Colour of Lumina and x1 Polished Chroma Catalys.
