Should You Attack Hexga?
Do Not Attack Hexga Initially

It is not advised to attack Hexga as its defeat will lock you out of a special reward that can be obtained later in the story. A Nevron NPC can be interacted with later in the game that will generously award you for keeping these white Nevrons alive in your playthrough.
Attacking Hexga Will Lead to a Boss Fight
Choosing to attack Hexga will lead to a boss fight. Restore your health and update your attributes and skills at the nearby rest point before choosing this option.

If players wish to attack Hexga, it is recommended to complete the Nevron Quests first to unlock the Aiding the Enemy achievement before proceeding. This maximizes the rewards of the quest and battle without missing any of the possible loot and experience.

Rock Crystal Locations
| Rock Crystal Locations in Tide Cavern | |

| 1 |  After speaking to Hexga, head inside the opening to find the Tide Caverns rest point and grapple towards the other side. Ride the zipline at the end of the path to arrive at the lower floor. |
| 2 |  After descending the zipline, walk along the leftmost section and head up the slope. Strike the bright crystal at the corner and collect the Rock Crystal from its remains. Be careful of the enemies within the vicinity. |
| 3 |  Turn right and head towards the structure submerged in water. Before stepping into the water, turn around and head right, ascending the slope. Note the rock formation found at the center. |
| 4 |  Head behind the rock formation to find the second Rock Crystal. Strike it and collect the item in its place. |
| 5 |  While facing the second Rock Crystal, turn left and jump down the ledge. Head towards the zipline you see, but do not ride it. |
| 6 |  After approaching the zipline, the bright crystal nearby will emerge from the ground. Trigger a battle with this enemy to encounter the Rocher boss. |
| 7 |  The third and final Rock Crystal can be obtained as a drop from the Rocher boss. |
| 8 |  Return to Hexga and give the Rock Crystals collected and complete the quest. |
Hexga Quest Rewards
Auto Shell
After helping Hexga, they will stand up and move from their position. Collect the item from where it was seated to the Auto Shell picto that grants the Shell status for 3 turns at the start of battle.

Hexga is a Quest NPC that's located in Stone Wave Cliffs, which is unlocked during Act 1: Gustave in the story. Hexga can be located at the cliff overlooking the Old Farm, right before the Tide Caverns rest point.
Hexga Quest Known Bugs
Rocher Boss is Possibly Bugged
If the Rocher boss jumps out of the ground and the players decided to ignore it, the boss may no longer spawn if they reload the area and prevent the quest from completing.
This is possibly a bug and there is currently no known fixes to this other than reloading an older save before triggering the Rocher's emergence. If you know a fix, let us know in the comments!

Anonymous 6 monthsi forgot if i attacked the white hexga or not. i did the quest i think because i have Auto Shell. i also still have a rock crystal. does anyone know how to figure out if the white hexga was attacked or do i just have to find out when i dont get the reward for not killing the white nevrons?
