Jovial Moissonneuse Location
Fought Via the Smiling Mask in Visages
The Jovial Moissonneuse is summoned by interacting with the smiling Mask near the end of the Joy Vale, one of the sub-areas in the Visages location.
When it asks “Behind his smile, what could it be?”, select Joy as an answer to its question. The Mask will then enter a short cutscene wherein it summons the Jovial Moissonneuse to fight the player.
How to Beat Jovial Moissonneuse
Ensure You Can Deal a Lot of Damage
The Mask will constantly heal the Jovial Moissonneuse during the fight, so it is important to have good damage dealers on your team during this fight. Otherwise, the Mask's healing can prove troublesome.
You can also utilize skills that help increase your characters' damage such as Verso's Marking Shot, which increases the damage of the next attack.
Exploit Its Fire Weakness
To claim victory, take advantage of the Jovial Moissonneuse's weakness to Fire damage, and pepper it with Fire-element attacks. Maelle and Lune are good candidates for this task.
Conversely, avoid using Ice attacks, as the Jovial Moissonneuse resists this element.
Focus on the Additional Enemies First
As it will naturally take longer to whittle down the Jovial Moissonneuse's Health due to the Mask's healing, it is also recommended to focus on the supporting enemies to render them non-factors for the rest of the fight.
The Chapelier is weak to Dark, while the Boucheclier is also weak to fire. Use these weaknesses to quickly take them out, and make focusing the boss easier.
