The first and only team you can form in Act 1 are Gustave, Lune, and Maelle, in their ideal order of turns. This team works well as a starting team as their skills can compliment each other.

Gustave can set his allies up to deal increased damage on their turn. Lune can heal allies while also debuff enemies. Maelle will be the team's main damage dealer.

Act 2 Best Party Members

For Act 2 you can use Verso, Lune, and Maelle, in their ideal order of turns. Verso works well as a substitute for Gustave since he has more utility and supportive capabilities while dealing decent damage independently.

Lune acts as a sub-DPS and also a debuffer using her skills. This sets up the enemies for Maelle, who can then deal a lot of damage or finish enemies off.

Clair Obscur - Sciel IconSciel A great alternative for Lune during Act 2 since she also has some utility but her skills are more on the damage-oriented side and mostly help her damage instead of Maelle.
Clair Obscur - Monoco IconMonoco Since you only recruit Monoco during the middle of Act 2, he doesn't provide much for the team yet because he still needs to learn many skills from his enemies. We recommend benching him for now until he gets a lot of his skills unlocked.

For Act 3 you can use Verso, Monoco, and Maelle, in their ideal order of turns. Verso scales well into the late game because of his utility and supportive capabilities while dealing much damage alone. He is a tank and a carry for the team already.

Monoco acts as a sub-DPS and also a support using his Nevron skills. He can also deal a lot of damage depending on his build. Lastly, Maelle, who in the late game can easily burst enemies down or straight up kill them with her abilities thanks to the uncapped damage.

Clair Obscur - Sciel IconSciel A great alternative for Verso during Act 3 since here she has some more utility but is still focused on her damage. She can deal a lot of damage and that's mostly it.
Clair Obscur - Lune IconLune In Act 3, Lune is versatile due to how many builds you can do for her. She is essentially an all-rounder character so you can slot her in place of Monoco if you want to use her abilities.

How does benching Monoco because he is missing skills make sense? He needs to be in the party to obtain feet so to make him viable in Act 3 it should be a given that he should be in the party to obtain the necessary skills... Also he is Level 26 when he joins the party, depending on how much one leveled previously you'd also need to grind a little to get him up to speed quicker.
