The Joyaro weapon scales with the Agility and Defense attributes, which is great for Monoco. This increases his Speed and other stats thanks to Joyaro's scaling. The Pictos and Luminas give him more damage, increased Break capability, and more power to his parries.

Do note that this is only for Monoco's build for Act 3. For Monoco's best skills and equipments for Act 2, check out the sections below!

Act 3

Act 2 Best Skills Explained

Monoco's best skills are a combination of support, utility, and support skills. For support, you have Potier Energy and Pelerin Heal, allowing you to heal or give allies AP as needed. Casting Potier Energy at the start is extremely recommended, as this will give your teammates more move options!

For damage, Moissonneuse Vendange, Stalact Punches, and Chevaliere Piercing are your damage skills you can choose to use depending on whether you need to break, build up stagger, or bypass enemy shield.

Lastly, you have Benisseur Mortar, which, on top of dealing high damage, can get you to the Almighty Wheel instantly.

Act 3 Best Skills Explained

In Act 3, you can keep Potier Energy since its a great supportive skill. For damage, you can use Moissonneuse Vendange, Portier Crash, Chevaliere Piercing, Stalact Punches, and Sakapatate Explosion which all have their uses in battle. Portier Crash is especially great when Breaking multiple enemies.

The values in red are the ones to be prioritized.
Act 2 is calculated with 90 points at level 30.
Act 3 is calculated with 180 points at level 60.

Best Attributes for Act 2 Explained

For stats, you want to fully invest in Agility since this scales extremely well with Nusaro, increasing your attack, speed, and defense all at the same time. This trinity of stats will allow Monoco to be versatile and set the tone of the battlefield since you'll have his attack first and do well in either supporting your team or dealing damage.

All and Best Attributes Guide

Best Attributes for Act 3 Explained

For Act 3, maxing out Agility is still great as Joyaro scales with it very well. Use your other attribute points in Defense since that's the secondary scaling of both weapons and will also provide you extra stats. This is great for either a sub-DPS or support oriented build with both weapons.

Ballaro A great alternative to the Joyaro in Act 3 since they both have high Agility and Defense scaling since it gives his other allies AP and the whole team AP when he is on Almighty Mask

Nusaro Is the Best for Act 2

Nusaro

The Nusaro is the best weapon to get for Monoco due to the insane Power and high Agility and Vitality scaling. These are stats you would want since Monoco can easily set the team up with skills like Potier Energy or deal high damage even on enemies with shields through Chevaliere Piercing.

Furthermore, this weapon rewards you for parrying by allowing you to reach Almighty Wheel faster and will let you deal 30% more damage if matching the skill and the wheel, which is extremely powerful!

All Weapons and Stats

Joyaro Is the Best for Act 3

In Act 3, Monoco's best weapon is Joyaro. It lets you start in Almighty Mask and gives you a consistent damage boost as long as you don't take damage. It scales well with Agility and Defense, providing him with both speed and survivability.

The only problem is that the only way you can get it is by beating end game bosses in the Endless Night Sanctuary or Flying Manor areas.

The best Pictos for Monoco are Healing Parry, Energizing Turn, and Immaculate, which are focused on giving you AP with mixed survivability and damage. Monoco is AP hungry with his skills, so having multiple sources of AP is recommended. Other alternatives you can get if you don't have some of these Pictos would be Auto Rush and Healing Counter for more speed and health!

For Luminas, you would also want those that give more AP, parry effects, and Mark application. Parrying and Mark are something you want to take advantage of since this will take you to the Almighty Wheel with Nusaro and Benisseur Mortar, respectively. The rest will be either for sustaining or for obtaining as much AP as you can through these various mechanics.

Main DPS

Monoco shines with teammates that have the potential to deal high damage, as he can support them or match their damage capabilities for an offensive-focused team.

Their synergy lies with follow-throughs rather than relying on each other's effect. For example, Monoco can fill up an enemy's Break bar with Stalact Punches and Verso can break with Perfect Break. Monoco can also damage shielded enemies using Chevaliere Piercing while saving the shields for Maelle to take advantage of with Breaking Rules.

How to Play Monoco

How to Play Monoco

Beastial Wheel Applies Special Effect on Skills

Monoco has a unique mechanic, the Bestial Wheel, which is basically a board that rotates and gives special effects to your skills depending on where the pointer is. There are 5 different Masks, all of which have their advantages in battle with Almighty applying effects to all skills regardless of required Mask type.

It is confusing at first, but the Wheel doesn't move randomly, and it just moves forward each time you use a skill. The number of times the wheel will move forward is determined by the number beside the AP cost. You can use this information to plan your casts ahead of time, ensuring they activate their special effects when cast.

Following the Bestial Wheel is Recommended but Not Required

Casting the skill tied to your Bestial Wheel is preferred but not absolute. Prioritize casting the skill you need at the moment rather than pushing for additional effects, especially those that will have the utility you need to win at that specific turn.

A good example would be casting Chevaliere Piercing even if you have a Balanced Mask if the enemy has a shield. Casting Moissonneuse Vendange is not wise since they will simply be absorbed by the shield, rendering their additional damage effects useless.

Best Played as First Position

Due to Monoco's versatility and because most of his weapons are scales off Agility, it would be best to have him as your first character to act. As mentioned in the builds section, you can have him set the tone of the battle through his buffs or burst damage!

Glaise Earthquake is so powerful despite the game tells you it only deals medium damage especially if combined with Sciel's double damage buff.

Don’t you know how picto work? If 2 characters want immaculate, they can both have it. Master it, wear it for 4 fights. Then you can use it as a lumina for 10 points. It doesn’t have to be in picto form to use. If it’s about the bonus stats from the picto, just find similar high level picto that help the same stats.
