Chromatic Gault Location
Located in Stone Wave Cliffs
The Chromatic Gault can be found in the Stone Wave Cliffs area. From the Old Farm Expedition Flag, continue past the nearby Hexga, and stick to the left to find a path behind it that leads to the optional boss.

How to Beat Chromatic Gault
Be Prepared for Bound
The Chromatic Gault can inflict your party with Bound, preventing affected targets from dodging. This means that the only defensive maneuver Bound targets can take is to parry, making this fight a test of your ability to do so.
To counter this, run effects like Lune's Healing Light or the Cleansing Tint Lumina to remove the status.
Watch Out for the Powerful Buff
This boss can also apply the Powerful Buff to itself, allowing it to hit even harder. Be sure to take defensive measures, such as applying Shell to offset the Chromatic Gault's increased damage.
