Believe Verso is the best ending if Maella/Alicia comes back to repair the world of the Expedition (bring back the people gommaged). Hate to think the sacrifices of the Expedition people in painting world were vain. The game really reminds me of Star Ocean 3 Til The End of Time's big existential moment.

Verso Ending is definitely a bad ending as we would be sending a disabled girl go through WWI and more unfortunately WWII Paris.
Verso ending is pro family. It’s the best for them. Maelle ending is pro lumier. To the people of that canvas, they feel they deserve to live, even if the painter family gets faced with challenges.
Turns out Maelle is actually just evil and in her ending she's forcing Verson into a life of servitude for her entertainment.
Verso's Ending feels more responsible, though it feels like you have been fighting for nothing the whole chapter 3. Why can't they just keep the painting? Just put it in the grave and let the people inside live.
I was prepared for Maelle's Ending. But when the time came, I chose Verso's Ending. So sad!!!
Maelle's Ending : you can hear at the end of her Epilogue that the music takes a darker and somber tune ultimately revealing the "painted" face of Maelle and what her selfishness brought. A life of Fantasy. A life to Paint and hide from reality. Verso's Ending : while the ending is sad and bitter it is one accompanied by a lighter tune. This ending focus more on Remembrance of what transpired before the Reality and accepting the Truth by standing with each others as a Family. A life to Love.
Maelles ending is better just because I hate renoir
