The Mysterious Pair is a sub-quest in Tales of Arise that can be completed by giving the Legendary Instrument to the Bard in Niez. Read on to learn the location of the Legendary Instrument, how to unlock and complete The Mysterious Pair, as well as its rewards in this guide!

The Mysterious Pair sub-quest can be unlocked after you've unlocked the main quest “Scorched Earth”. Simply talk to the Bard in Niez to start the sub-quest.

The Legendary Instrument that the Bard is talking about is the Iron Pipe that can be found in Iglia Wastes
"A land shrouded by sand and stone" indicated in Wonder Text 1 pertains to Iglia Wastes. In Wonder Text 2, the "abandoned village" pertains to Ulzebek. Lastly, the "narrow road to the west" is exactly as it says. Follow the steps below to get the Iron Pipe.
First, you need to fast travel to Iglia Wastes. Then, you'll need to go down the narrow path just to the west of the fast travel point.
At the end of the path is an Iron Pipe - the instrument the Wonder Bard was talking about.
Return to the Wonder Bard in Niez and be rewarded with an artifact called Quivering Candles - an artifact that increases the number of ores you acquire from mining points.
