Nazamil is the daughter of the late Water Lord Urwagil Hildris, the Water Lord preceding Vholran and a lowly Dahnan slave.
This means she has both Renan and Dahnan blood and was treated as a weapon by the latter, spending most of her time alone in a room.
Nazamil is the focus of the Beyond the Dawn DLC, with much of the main quest focusing on her backstory and her relationships with the characters.
Nazamil serves as the final boss of the Beyond the Dawn DLC. After witnessing the hate and anger from both the Renans and Dahnans towards her and Alphen, she decides to use her powers to turn both sides into obedient slaves to create a "perfect world".
Upon arriving in Niez, you learn that Nazamil is the daughter of Lord Urwagil Hildris. the former water lord, and an unnamed Dahnan woman who was a slave of the former lord.
While the Beyond the Dawn's story revolves around Nazamil, she is a non-playable character and you can't control or add her to your party.
Despite this, she interacts with the playable characters regularly during story quests and missions and she even appears in your campsite. She can even perform her own Artes at certain points in the story.
Nazamil also drew portraits of the playable characters during her time spent with them over the course of the story, which you can find in the Keystone dungeon. Collecting all 6 portraits will reward you with the Always On Her Mind Trophy.
