How to Beat Vholran Igniseri

To aid in your battle against Vholran Igniseri, here are some tips that you can utilize in your fight.

1. Make Use of Alphen's Boost Attacks
2. Use Flaming Edge Attacks

Use Alphen's Boost Attacks

During this fight, you will notice that Alphen's Boost Attack will recharge more quickly than usual. Use this to your advantage and down Vholran to prevent him from attacking, and get in as many hits as you can while he is stunned. This will keep him staggered throughout most of the fight, but keep in mind that Alphen's Boost Attack consumes some HP.

Use Flaming Edge Attacks

By the time you reach the second phase of the fight, you will be able to use Flaming Edge attacks instead of your regular Artes. To make the best use of these attacks, first stagger Vholran with a Boost Attack and then hit him with as many Flaming Edge attacks as you can before he recovers.

Unleash All Attacks

This last fight against Vholran takes a lot of cues from the previous two fights you've had against the Lord of Ganath Haros. He will have the same attacks, and thus most of those fight's strategies can still be applied here.

During this fight, however, you have the advantage of being able to spam Boost Attacks which can make this battle a bit easier to coast your way through despite only having Alphen available.

Vholran Igniseri Attack Patterns

Elemental Attacks

Vholran has numerous elemental attacks he can use against you. These all range from:

• Bomb type attacks where elemental orbs will bounce around the arena before hitting you
• Ranged elemental beam attacks that race across the ground towards you
• An elemental burst added at the end of Vholran's regular sword swings.

These attacks are manageable to avoid, and if you perform Perfect Dodges followed by a Counter Edge it will sometimes stagger Vholran.

Final Embace

A special attack that summons a massive chunk of ice that lands on the ground. Getting hit by this attack can inflict the Frozen status effect, but it is easy to avoid as long as you see the circle of light that appears before the attack goes off.

Finis Aeternam

In the second phase of the fight, similar to the previous encounter, Vholran can summon a massive spear of ice that descends from the sky. When it sinks into the ground, shafts of ice will rise up through the ground, dealing damage to you.

You can avoid taking any damage from this by consistently dodging throughout the majority of the attack.
