Nimus Origin is a very large creature that occupies most of the arena you fight it in. It moves slowly, and has a limited range to its attacks – take advantage of this fact by attacking the legs, particularly in instances when it is distracted and unable to focus its attention on your controlled character.
You can cause Nimus Origin to collapse to the ground by using Alphen's Boost Attack – once down, target the glowing red Weak Point it has and use Law's Boost Attack to cause it thousands of damage with a single punch.
Repeating this tactic makes its Weak Point easier to shatter whenever you have the chance to do so in the fight.
Although you can attack its legs, Nimus Origin's central torso is also weak to your attacks. To reach it, simply jump into the air and use aerial attacks to harm it.
Alphen's Stardust is particularly effective in repeatedly dealing it damage from above – it is also an easy Arte to spam for continuous damage in general.

Although Nimus Origin is a powerful creature that can drain your HP in a matter of hits, its slow movement can allow you to avoid most of its attacks with ease. Due to this, you can use all your character's attacks freely – boost your attack parameters before engaging in the fight by equipping better equipment to cause it significant damage.

Give your party a breather by having Alphen use his Boost Attack to cause Nimus Origin to collapse to the ground. This not only allows you to cause uninterrupted damage but also provides you with enough time to heal anyone that needs it.

Leave Shionne to heal the party as needed. She can also deal damage in between heals, primarily through long-ranged attacks. Spamming Tres Ventos is a good way to deal damage continuously without having to approach the boss.

Using Law's Boost Attacks at a good angle will deal thousands of damage to Nimus Origin. Also, since the boss is rather slow, if you are controlling Law direclty you can get long combo chain on the boss without getting hit pretty easily. This will boost Law's damage output even more, thanks to his Awakening Perk.

Due to the amount of time it takes to cast most of her Artes, it is best to have Rinwell attack from a distance, allowing her to use her more powerful attacks.
Celestial Hammer is a very useful Arte to spam in this fight, especially if Rinwell has the skill to double jump. This attack activates instantly and hits the boss multiple times. Also since Celestial Hammer is an aerial attack it reaches the boss' Weak Point, making it even more useful.
Jump Attacks are the most commonly performed attack by Nimus Origin, where it will jump into the air before landing on top of you. It will also commonly perform this type of attack during the beginning of the fight, where it will jump straight up into the air as soon as the fight commences.
As a means to defend itself from your attacks, it will use its limbs to try and ward you off when you are attacking it. It will thrust its arms out or stomp its feet, causing small cyclones to appear around where its feet are. These attacks are all enough to cause you to crash to the ground if you are hit, but are avoidable with proper timing in your dodges.
Its special form of attack, Nimus Origin is capable of using Dark Energy as a means of attack. There are several variations to these, but most involve only small swirls of this energy that can be navigated around easily.
